In celebration of the centenary of women in the UK (aged 30 and over) gaining the right to vote, for each month in 2018 we will release a 100g skein of Solemate sock yarn named for one of the suffragettes.
There will be a special ball band for the Suffragette Sock Yarn Club.
Solemate Hand Dyed Sock Yarn is a soft and smooth yarn which is spun and dyed in the UK. Solemate is 75% wool, with 25% nylon for sock strength, and there is approximately 400m per 100g.
The price of this club is for 100g of Solemate sock yarn each month, hand-dyed and named for a suffragette, and is inclusive of postage for each month.
The January yarn, pictured above, is named after Annie Kenney, who along with Christabel Pankhurst was the first suffragette to be imprisoned, for 7 days, after heckling Sir Edward Grey at a Liberal rally in Manchester on the issue of votes for women.
